Description
this is my first ever attempt to really ink a piece like this... i think it came out pretty good for the first time... i can see where i need mucho improvement though....

This is really strong for a first piece. You are able to follow what you put down in the pencils, and it shows that you can ink those tight tricky areas.
My only crit would be to play with line weights (widths). I like the feathering, but, try playing with pressure along parts like the hat, to really bring out that texture.
Be careful of the way you feather. Try to follow the form, more, and maybe stay away from having too much feathering throughout the drawing. It tends to weigh down the drawing and kind of flatten it out.

Overall, I think you're heading in a great direction. Keep practicing and keep thinking 'fluid'.
